Promoting the Mediterranean way of eating for heart, brain, and metabolic health
At No Bad Foods, we believe every meal is a chance to nourish your body, support your health, and bring people together through the power of real food.
Founded by Barbara Schultz, RN, BSN, CCMS, a registered nurse with decades of clinical experience and over 20 years in Health and Wellness, No Bad Foods® blends evidence-based nutrition, culinary creativity, and compassionate education to help you build a healthier, more joyful relationship with food.
Barbara’s approach centers on the Mediterranean diet—a time-tested, heart-healthy way of eating—along with her expertise as a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist and Master Gardener. She teaches clients not just how to cook nourishing meals, but how to grow their own vegetables and herbs, making health a truly hands-on experience.
Through engaging cooking demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and real-world nutrition coaching, Barbara empowers individuals and families to take control of their wellness—one meal at a time.
Barbara has served in a wide variety of fields, including mining, manufacturing, snack food, biotech, and healthcare, which gives her a deep understanding of how food and health intersect in everyday life.
She currently serves as Health Educator at a nonprofit community clinic in coastal North Carolina, where her certification in Culinary Medicine proves invaluable in guiding patients toward better health.
As the Owner and President of No Bad Foods®, Barbara shares her unique, whole-systems approach to nutrition: teaching not just what to eat, but how to grow it, cook it, and enjoy it—without guilt or restriction.
At No Bad Foods, we take a real-world, non-judgmental approach to health and nutrition. Our philosophy is built on:
Promoting the Mediterranean way of eating for heart, brain, and metabolic health
Teaching hands-on cooking skills with live demos and practical tips
Sharing gardening insights from a certified Master Gardener
Encouraging sustainable, small lifestyle changes—progress over perfection.
More than 60% of the American diet comes from ultra-processed foods (UPFs), contributing to skyrocketing rates of obesity, diabetes, and chronic illness.
Change doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right knowledge, support, and a few simple recipes, you can reclaim your health—starting in your own kitchen.
Through our educational blog, community events, and cooking classes, No Bad Foods® offers practical, approachable tools to help you thrive without restrictive diets or shame.
Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced home cook looking to improve your nutrition, this is a place for learning, experimenting, and rediscovering the joy of food.
